High Heels and Mini-Skirts
A poem that explores how conservative views affect teen girls of our generation.

Damnation.
What is it? A conclusion.
I say it’s an absolute lie.
But we carry its fear until we die,
we still conform.
We’ve all sworn,
we’ve all lied,
but those aren’t applied.
I kiss lips and I’m the damned one?
While you ignore your son;
taking and stealing what you call our innocence,
but he’s walking away with no consequence.
I get blamed for what I wear,
just because he can’t control his stare.

Honestly one of my favorite poems that you’ve ever written. Many young girls, including myself, can relate to what you’re writing about and i just think that the way you wrote about it is beautiful. Keep up the amazing work Abri!
