Blog #3: Role Models and Gratitude
March 14, 2023
There’s a lot of people in this world that I appreciate, and many more people I will grow to appreciate. However, there is one person I will always appreciate and be so thankful for, and that person is my nana. She is the most loving and caring person I’ve ever met in my entire life. Yes, there are some days where we don’t see eye to eye on things, but that’s okay, because we work through them and come out closer than ever. I remember when I was little, probably in the 6th or 7th grade, and it was during the summer. I would wake up early around 9 o’clock. The smell of her coffee would spread throughout the whole house, especially my room. I would get out of bed and go to the kitchen with her and she would make me breakfast and we would go on about our day. In the evenings, we would sit in the living room and watch her novellas. We would stay there all evening with snacks and a big blanket over us. We would go from watching one show to the other; we would finally call it quits around 12 or 1 am. I’d say my nana is one of my best friends, and I can’t thank her enough.
